Gut Loading Setup for mealworms

Here is a picture of my setup for gut loading my mealworms, I was thinking about keeping them out of the fridge like this for a couple days to munch on the carrots and spinach i put in there, then stick em back in the fridge and just take em out when refilling the food dish for my gecko. Does the setup look correct? I just put the veggies on one side then poured them in on the other side. Then I poked some air holes in the lid.

I was thinking of picking up some cricket gut loading food at a pet store as well for them (cricket food is the only gut loading food I saw at my local pet store), will the mealworms eat it as well even though it is advertised for crickets? Also any recommendations on which cricket food to give them would be great.

I wouldn't feed the spinach. It binds calcium and prevents your geckos from absorbing it

Ah thanks for the tip, I'll just use carrots and potatoes then for now.
