Handling skittish leo

Hi,

I'm looking for tips and advise on getting my Leo to trust me, I keep putting my hand in his Viv for half an hour on an evening when he's out and about, when he comes near me he looks like he's going to strike at me, so I take my hand out.
Any advice would be great.

Your gecko is coming out to check you out and may lick your hand, which is how it gets information about its environment. You could scoop it up from the bottom (grabbing it from the top makes it feel too much like you're a predator) and hold it in your hand with the other hand loosely over the top for a few minutes. Some geckos get used to it and don't mind being held and others never like it
