So today is my birthday (at this age, it's just another day to me). However, it was also the day of a reptile show here in Kansas City. My husband drug me out to it to look for a new tank for our ball python. I assumed I would have to battle the urge to buy a leo (or 10, ha-ha), but that wasn't the case. I have been wanting a beardie for a LONG time and after seeing these two girls and talking to the breeders (who were AWESOME) for quite a long time, I couldn't resist bringing them home.

I think that it is great how the prices have come down on the more colorful dragons and there sure seems to be plenty to chose from in the past two years

Thanks! It's been almost a month and we are LOVING having these girls in our lives. They were a great b-day present for sure. I had no intention of coming home with any new critters from the reptile show, but I'm so glad we did!!! They have already upgraded to a new custom tank with brighter lighting and better visibility for us to watch them. The kids adore them (they call them the "twins") and like to help get their salads ready and wrangle any "free-range" crickets.

We were lucky that the breeder we found is local and small-scale, so their prices were excellent. Plus, they were absolutely wonderful and made sure each person who wanted to buy from them had the proper equipment/knowledge before making the sale. There is another show in September and if the same breeders are there we will probably get one more since we have an extra 4x2x2 tank that is empty.

Happy birthday! a month ago! lol I love bd'S! babies are just too expencive for me though...they put all those pinheads SOMWHERE i just dont know where!
