So I was feeding and holding my gecko a few minutes ago when I noticed a bump on his side...I don't know if he broke a rib? Or something..I'll show his normal side, and the side with the bump a few times.
He ate fine, 3 mealworms, one that was recently shed so it was softer, and probably 6 or more crickets, then I took him out to sit on my bed for a few minutes and he was fine, running around, being a tiny bit tame haha, but otherwise acting regularly, and not sitting still for pictures..of course.
Regular side:
With his lil piggy tummy
Not so regular side:
The bump is almost perfectly in the middle behind his front leg and before his hind leg.
And this photo makes it look huge, although I could barely see it when I was looking down on him..but this side shot with him curled up makes it look giant.
AND it was not there a day or so ago...This was him I think yesterday or the day before..
I don't know if he fell, or something or if it something worse...and sadly, we do not have a reptile vet in my city...
Any ideas? It feels quite hard. My first guess was some sort of broken bone.
And then I was like, what if it is true meal worms can eat themselves out and then I said..no...and he's not on sand, or has anything in his tank that he could ingest, and nothing is really tall enough for him to jump off, I don't know if it might be sometimes when I go to put crickets in with him he gets skittish when me hand goes in the tank and he runs into the glass sometimes.........
