Hard time hatching

This is the second time I have had an egg try to hatch and die before they can completely make it out of the egg. I know your not suppose to help them, so what do I do? Why did they die. Could there be something else wrong with them?

How are your containers prepared? Do you use air holes or no? If there are no airholes in the containers, they must be opened weekly for air exchange. If not, they may not have enough oxygen to breathe once they start hatching. We open them for air exchange daily when the eggs get close to hatching. I don't think it's something that really needs to be done, I just tend to worry a lot.

The first egg had air hole. the second did not so I'm not sure.

I had 2 die just out of the egg and another 2 die within a day. One had deformities. I've also had 33 hatch and live although a few do have minor deformities. I think sometimes the babies are just marginal and don't make it.
