OK so S.I.M. is in hovabator with some Tupperware bins filled with water around it.

So the sim itself does not hold enough humidity? Is that why you have to add tuppetwares full of water around it? The spongr on the lid is not a complete fix?

Only reason I can think of using the water bins is to help temp fluctuations. It'll raise ambient humidity but no point cause the sim is sealed. So it can't get in anyway. However if water is needed to be added it's always good to add same temp water. Which would be another reason to have them.
