I tried hatchrite last year, i had my temps set perfect all season but the eggs went bad everytime... It was a sad first year for me.

Wow!

I used hatchrite last year.
It yielded EXCELLENT results for us!
Out of, what, 12 eggs only one went bad.
And I don't blame that on the hatchrite, I think we didn't get a hatched egg out soon enough and it contaminated the medium somehow.
Hatchrite is soooo dummy-proof, though!
I love it. So easy to use.

I used perlite and had good results. I was using both perlite and vermiculite at the start of this season but am now just using perlite. I was having better results on the perlite. The poll wasn't asking about perlite so I was just keeping out of it.
