When a gecko is use to eating one prey item over another, they can be difficult to switch over. I have even had geckos that would eat only one type of feeder and would always go back and forth. It was either one or the other and not both.
The advice I can give you is to try to feed meal worms until it gets hungry enough to eat them. Also, crickets make a little more movement and might help you switch them over to meal worms/super worms.
ok thanks for the advice. I usually like to keep them on what they have been eating but living in Florida I cant with dubias because of it being illegal.
Switching from a more mobile insect (crickets, dubias, etc.) it is much harder to get them on worms. Going from worms to more mobile insects tends to be easier. The thrill of the hunt and extra stimuli help with that. If you want a gecko that is on dubias you should have success with crickets (no guarantee) and with time you can get it on worms (most likely).
Thanks I was just checking out ads and saw some that said fed on dubias and I was wondering how I would manage that. I would hate to buy one and not be able to get it to eat. I think I will stick to non picky eaters lol
