So far we have hatched from this line

6 normals
4 jungles
2 stripes

the clutchmate to the above stripe has yet to hatch...i'm hoping for stripe, but I'll gladly take another jungle :main_thumbsup:

As always, thank you for looking!

I hatched one like your first stripe last week from stripe x (patternless?) stripe. Last year the stripe female was bred to a banded albino and produced 50% stripes. This year I expect all stripes, of course, and the quality of the 4 stripes who have hatched so far is, not surprisingly, much higher with 2 stripe parents.

How long have you been working with the AHR stripe line? I know that hes been outbreeding them last year and maybe the year before. This year he bred the outcrosses back to eachother. My hatchling wanted to be a stripe too... From Raptor het X raptor het

This is my first year with them. I have a 1.4 group of them (pictures of the parents are in my photo gallery on here), and so far I have been pretty happy. They have been very prolific breeders.

Alex also mentioned that he has been getting black eyes popping up in this line. So far I have not seen it in mine....yet.

Your albino is awesome!

Do you know if that line acts recessive? I'm wondering because maybe some of the jungles you're hatching out are really stripes? Well, this is all if you believe that the stripes act recessive in the first place.
420-should they be getting more stripes with this line? Just wondering.

That first one's a very nice stripe. The second a jungle. Both are beautiful congrats.

Nice one Chris! What does Alex say about all of the non-stripes you're hatching?

Thanks Michael!

Alex still says dominant, and going by the genetics lesson we had a few weeks ago, they could be considered dominant. However, even after the discussions a few weeks ago, it pains me to say that they are dominant...I need to talk with a few genetics people from the boa world :p

I would still have to breed them outside of this line to prove any genetics on these either way. Alex is a nice guy, and could/would answer ANY questions you have on them.

I absolutely cannot tell you whether or not I think they are acting recessive or not. I have yet to breed any of my adults outside of this line. Next season I can do some RSxAHRS, and other outcrosses to see what happens.

I do promise to share every single apsect/result from this breeding group (or any breeding I do for that matter) ;O) I hate mystery and secrets :main_evilgrin:
