heating a 20L

so i've been using a heat lamp on my 20gal Long. I plan to switch to a heat mat. Should i purchase the 10 to 20 gal heat mat ot the 30 to 40? i don't know since it's a long tank it requires a longer mat?

i'd go for the bigger mat personally, a 20L has more floor space than a regular 20.

What i did in stead of buying one for a 20gal tank which i have i just got the 16watt "Exo
Terra heat wave desert medium" uth and it covers up like 1/3 of the tank so it fits just fine. i bought it from www.reptilesupply.com

another vote for the Exo Terra Heat Wave Desert Medium. It is 10" x 11" and fits exactly 1/3rd of my 20L.

I'd go with the smaller one. They only need one small spot to warm up.
