Hello! I have a leopard gecko, he’s about 7-8 months old now. I have recently got a new tank it’s about 4ft long, it is a DIY tank made up of wood, so far it’s been keeping heat fairly nicely. However I am not sure I can use a heating pad in this enclosure, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I can keep heat going on throughout the night without the need of using bulbs? It’s getting to be colder and I don’t want him to get too cold at night. The wood tank does keep heat a lot nicer than the glass tanks do.

As long as you have a thermostat to keep it from getting too hot, it should be fine to use with wood.
