My name is Juli, and I live in Arizona (which means we can't buy any reptiles online for a few months -_-). My friend and I recently invested in some geckos.... well, they live with him, but I get visitation rights ;P He has a slightly addictive personality, likes to spend, so I've steered him into a (mostly harmless) addiction to... reptiles! Anyway, the Leopard geckos are my favorite, and the first ones :> We also adopted a 4 year old Gargoyle Gecko from craigslist! She's not used to us/being handled at all so she is still adjusting. I hope she'll like me more someday We also got a chameleon That's more his pet though, and he's suuuuper tiny!
I'm hoping to save up for a camera this coming birthday, cause I love taking photos of our lizards! here are my favorite recent ones:
"Whitey" yea my friend couldn't sex them at first (still aren't sure though I am pretty sure whitey is male and stripey is female) so he "didn't name them." which means we call them crappy desciptive names '~' "whitey" isn't even correct, since after his first shed we realized he's more like florescent yellow on top.
and "Stripey," the very first one!
Whitey likes me a lot! We are pals.
this is his favorite spot to sit. probably cause I can't see him there! jerk!
this is Misty, the adopted Gargoyle Gecko. She turns as white as her sand sometimes, depending on her mood, though mostly she is a rich brown with black details. she bit me when we first got her and put her in her cage, because she was overwhelmed, had just moved, and been kept in her previous owners workplace for a a few hours until then, but... it still made me cry. I was really upset that we had made her that upset, and i secretly think she hates me ;_; I talk to her a lot and hope i can handle her calmly someday.
lately though, the leopards have been basking under their lamp at night more, and I'm noticing THIS happen a lot.... I'd be SO SCARED o_o. Misty lacks eyelids which makes her inherently less trustworthy in my opinion lol. I'm not sure if the Leopar geckos' eyes are sharp enough to notice or maybe they don't care??
I also have a three toed box turtle named scooter though I'll save most of him for turtleforums.
