Where exactly did you find the gnats? What is your setup like: temps, substrate, etc? You said that they are eating still even if it is only every few days, what do their poops look like? 2 to 3 weeks is a pretty short amount of time for a gecko to lose that much weight so you may just need to get them to the vet for a fecal check.

In one of your other threads you mentioned that you had just added a new female to your colony (about a month ago). How long did you quarantine her before you introduced her to the other geckos?

I found them just walking around the cage. The temp is around 87-90, I use sand. [i dont feed them inside the cage] The poop looks like white [even the males] all white and then when its regular it looks like theres little pimples on the poop. And ok I`ll get a vet to check them out as soon as I can. And the male he hasnt lost weight its just the female thats lost weight. [ 57-53 ]

There is a chance that the one that isn't eating and is losing weight is impacted from the sand. If that's the case, give her a warm soak and get her off the sand. It's true that many adults do OK on sand and that some people feel that a healthy adult gecko will do well on sand, but given the symptoms you're reporting, it may be a good idea to change substrate. It's also possible that some kind of pest (the gnats) is incubating in the sand.

There might be something foul in the humid hide, like a dead cricket that's gotten moldy or a poop, that has drawn gnats. The female may be ovulating and not want to eat. If geckos are housed together there could be a bully situation causing your female to be timid with food. Crickets are notorious for bringing in parasites (the pimply poop?). Just some other ideas in addition to what others have posted :)

i think you should change the substrate. my friend's gecko looks alright, feels alright, but has slowed down on his diet. my friend didnt know it was disgesting the sand until he squeezed his boy's poop with tweezers! turned out the poop was full of sand. better be safe than sorry. i removed the sand in my girl's tank as well. :) as she hasnt been eating well. although her belly is still pretty soft.
