My Gecko has a bulge by the end of his tail and I can see like feces build up and it looks to be coming out but it cant. He keeps standing on his tip-toes and lifts up his tail to go to the bathroom but it takes forever. I dont know how he would be impacted because IM using a carpet. Could it be because im feeding him meal worms more then I am crickets?

I usually only using heating pads but I bought a nocturnal heating lamp tor aise the temperature from 85 to like 92, hoping this would help with his digestion and bathroom problems.

And he has a huge black mark halfway up his stomach

His condition is declining he hasnt eaten in about 5 days. I have been placing small meal worms in front of him, he stares at them and looses interest. Today I did a gatorade soaked bath with some lukewarm water for about 15 minutes. The bruise on his stomach looks bigger. I just dont understand how he could be impacted with nothing in his terrarium to impact him =/ im confused...

It looks like if this keeps persisting it will die... Can anyone recommend anything else to do?

You could also try feeding him some vegetable or olive oil, that will help him pass whatever is inside. And I don't know if I'd keep moist paper towels in the whole viv all the time, i've heard that can cause respiratory problems. Hope he gets better soon :( Good luck!

You know, it's more likely that it's a hernia considering you haven't had him on sand or shells or anything with which he could become impacted. Vet is definitely the best option here..
