Instead of placing the wax worms in just one spot, how about you place them in multiple spots? Hope you find your gecko soon :)

i think this guy is just trying to get a free gecko and never actually got on because if i lost my gecko i would rip everything out just to find him and he changes his story to much

I agree. He was here posting right after he said the gecko was loose. I would have spent every waking moment looking for it if it was mine. I wouldn't have been spending time posting anywhere!

why would a responsible breeder give an obviously irresponsible kid a free gecko that he could potentially harm or lose?

good luck with finding it, but don't come here trying to play some sob story trying to get a free gecko. learn from your mistakes and move on.

I had one escape due to my stupidity of getting distracted and not putting the top back on a tub. About 24 hours later I realized she had dropped 5 feet off the shelf. I was horrified! I laid face down on the floor and looked under everything in my room with a flashlight. Then to the nightmare of the closet, which was right next to the shelf her tub was on. She was right there in the front corner behind a big supply tub piled up with stuff I know I will need at some point for my animals. Besides the drop, she was maybe a foot from the shelf, nestled away in a dark quiet corner. I was not going to leave that room until she was found. Fortunately, I keep the door closed so she couldn't have gotten out to the rest of the house- and the cat.

It happens. They can be escape artists, thru our own negligence or their own determination. Do everything that can be done to find your gecko and stop whining on the forum. People have been giving you suggestions but don't think for one minute anybody here is going to give you a gecko, or even a break after the behavior you have displayed.

try this
use a taller container
grease the inside of the container
buy some plywood
make a ramp around the container with the plywood on all sides
put in more wax worms
wait
the gecko will be trapped because if you use a tall enough container it can't climb out.
hope this helps

Couple things:

What would have made you use tubs in the first place? When I first started i heard about using them too and i thought oooh neat idea... then i saw 10 gallons are only 12.99 at petco.

Obviously if you lost your gecko on the first day noone is going to give you another. Thats one of the dumbest things i have ever heard someone say before. Hey man, i lost my 80$ gecko today by being stupid, can i have another?:main_thumbsdown:

Altogether its your fault and you should be looking for that gecko. Big deal if theres nooks and crannys. Even if its a 20k sq foot basement, you should be looking.

Im sure you are a good owner, just not of geckos. Each animal needs its own individual habitat, care, and PROPER CONTAINER.

I suggest you go look for the gecko and don't post about asking for more geckos till you find your lost one:main_thumbsup:

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I took my beating, and read up more and learned alot. I really think you should do the same

Wow this is sad, nobody reply anymore, this is obviously a troll, kid, many people come on these forums asking for free stuff, and they dont get anything, neither will you. Any real gecko owner wouldn't sleep till they found their leo. Even if your story is true, nobody would trust you with another leo. Sorry, but I think herps aren't your thing,

idk why people keep trying to say im a bad animal keeper or whatever...this is my first escape/loss or whatever you wanna call it. for geckos i have 2 tokay's, 2 golden's, and 2 skunk geckos and they are all waaaaay faster than leos and can run up walls and stuff and i havnt lost them...it was just poor judgement of an enclosure
