I don't know if you have seen that way to sex them with a light. I think I saw that post a few weeks ago.The belly looks fine. The stuff you're seeing is blood veins and organs like the gall bladder probably. The advice you've been given is good, so please follow it.
The one other thing I can say is that if your new gecko is 2 weeks old, I don't know how anyone would know it's male. I've been looking at my hatchlings, who are all 3-6 MONTHS old with 60x magnification to try to figure out whether they are male or female and it's been really hard. When I got my very first gecko from a big pet store 10 years ago, the guy who sold it to me (who said he was also a breeder) told me it was a male and it turned out to be a female. I don't think you'll know for sure for at least a few months, but I also highly recommend separating them for quarantine reasons as soon as possible.

Great. I'm not 100% sure since I'm still new but I think the humid hide is important because it helps with shedding. My leo doesn't use the humid hide that much but I do see him in it at least once a day. He mostly stays in the dry hide on the hot side.just made room for a humid hide
