Here's the Girls!

I just got these two yesterday, one (the Mack Snow - Kaida) from Debbie Prince of The Gecko Prince and the other (the Tangerine Rainwater - Kazana) from Mel & Keith of Concrete Jungle Geckos.

Kaida:

this one is kinda blurry, couldn't get the camera to cooperate with me in the focusing department, but I kinda like it anyway

Kazana:

CUTE Face!!

another blurry one, but I liked the way it shows off the patterning on her side

and yes, their food dishes are empty for the moment, I've got PLENTY of mealworms, but I tried offering them both a worm yesterday and today and they kinda looked at it, licked at it, and then turned away. So I'm thinking they need a bit more time (especially since I just got them, it'll probably take a week or so before they eat). I'll keep offering until they decide they're ready to eat.

They do both have water and the Rep-Cal PURE calcium available though.

OH and I weighed them today as well!

Kaida is a solid 51 grams and Kazana is a VERY petite 15 grams.

Mike: thank you, and yes both breeders are awesome! They helped me out a ton and I plan on returning the favor by taking good care of the girls. As for Kazana's colors, I didn't realize until I took the pictures how bright her colors are, that lavender almost looks pink! She really is gorgeous!

Mel&Keith: she's checked out everything in there now, well except the second floor, unless she did last night, but I think she just slept in her magnetic den all night and all day today. As you can see she got out and about tonight. And no worries I'll take good care of her, she's so adorable! Thank you again!

Debbie: thank you, and ya'll were right, they're all set now. I'm glad I got to total cuties, and such beautiful girls too. Kaida's quite the mischievous one, I hadn't had that background in there for 5 minutes before she'd climbed to the top then she looked at me like "what??". Thank goodness for that screen top.

That and she decided she didn't want to use the little lizard ladder thing (She can, she used it just perfect yesterday) I've got in there to get to and from the second level. So she crawled to the edge, leaned over, hung on with her back legs and let her body hang over the side as she stretched her front legs out, before flopping to the bottom. Scared me, but she was obviously okay since she immediately started exploring again without blinking an eye. That and she's so long she can practically reach the bottom by performing that hanging maneuver. She's one goofy girl.

Thank you both for the girls, they're totally awesome and I hope to have them for many years to come. I can't explain the feelings I had when I opened those boxes, it was like love at first sight! That's the best way I know how to explain it.

John: thank you, and yep I do believe you are right ^^ all the breeders here I've seen are so friendly and have such awesome and well kept geckos! Glad I found this place! Which was actually thanks to the link on the Concrete Jungle Geckos website! So thanks to Mel & Keith for not only selling me a cute little Rainwater, but for helping me find GF!

Jessica, reading your post confirmed for me that those two girls have a very fabulous home.........and I love how "sassy" Kaida is. :main_evilgrin: You'll have a great time with them. :main_yes:

Debbie: she is quite sassy, as I was typing the last comment, she climbed up the wall then decided she wanted to get on the vine I've got along the side of the plexiglass divider, and well the suction cup wouldn't hold her AND the vine and after about a minute of her just sitting there it fell. She didn't fall far, but she sat there in the middle of that vine on top of her humid hide for a few minutes probably trying to figure out what happened. Well once again without batting an eye she was off to explore again.

she had me laughing, and then when I went to check on her, I saw Kazana over in her enclosure, trying to sleep out on the tiles, looking over toward Kaida like "what the hell are you doing?" and I laughed even harder.

So yes, I believe you're right, they'll have me laughing and smiling quite a bit, we'll have a blast.

I am definitely addicted now! They're so cute, and hilarious at times, they definitely have their own little personalities!

Even my dad wants to see them now, and my step-mom was like "Take some pictures and email them to me!" so they have support from the whole family ^^

and yes Kazana's turning out to be quite popular, I shared their pictures with friends over on deviantART.com as well as another forum (a Dragonriders of Pern Role-Play forum) and everyone LOVES little Kazana's pattern and colors!

I love both of them, they're so gorgeous in their own ways ^^
