Lmao Haley...poor thing is emaciated. ANYTHING looks big on a stick thin body!!! :main_laugh:
You are doing perfectly fine by feeding the supers. As long as he's taking them and having normal bowel movements I would say you are on the road to recovery with him. It is fantastic that you have experience doing your own floats...that will definitely help in this situation, but I agree with the others - due to the fact that he is INDEED a male, bullying could be a HUGE factor in how thin he is. Good luck with him!
Joe, good job on recognizing an issue and taking on the responsibility of helping that poor boy get healthy. Hope things turn around quickly now that you have them apart. It sounds like you are on the right track. Good Luck!
Yeah the little guy is going to bounce back for me. He has passed some healthy looking droppings since I started him on nice size worms. He has really grown fond of Silkies. I see him in his humidity hide at night, and I am thinking he may shed soon. I will post some more pisc of the lil guy soon!
Hey Everyone!!! Wanted to give an update on the little guy. He is doing GREAT! Really turning around for me. He has been getting more active and now chases feeders with much gusto. His tale is visibly fatter, and growing. He is a fidgety little fella and has gotten a lot quicker since I started him on his new regiment. He has been spending the last couple days in his moist hide and I imagine he should shed for me any day now.
Here are some pics of the little dude... He still has some fattening up to do... but this little guy is fast on the road to recovery. It is so rewarding when you see them get healthy like this for you, especially when they were obviously not doing well.
I would still be interested to hear any opinions on what morph he might be... I will post more pics after he sheds in case it is still tough to tell.
