Were you a flyer? You look like you could be thrown up into the air pretty high ;)

Umm, yes and no. I hate flying. I was the 2nd smallest (after the girl next to me) but I was one of the strongest so I was always a base. (I used to do power lifting too! LOL) I had just switched from a huge public school where cheerleading was really competitive to that small private school where they did very basic stunts. My senior year I had to fly because no one else could and they threw me up in a basket toss then only caught my feet so I landed on the back of my head...pretty lame.

Ouch.. I can honestly say I have done that before (I was a base).. there was an inexperienced flier and so we kind of dropped her, it was embarrassing for us all.. needless to say, she didn't go up again! I just cheered at a very small school, then moved to a large school my senior year and was too late for tryouts. But at my old school, tumbling wasn't required (I can't even do a cartwheel lol), and at my new school, every single girl could do amazing flips.. so I was pretty intimidated anyway lol

This is an AWESOME thread, everyone has great pics! I wasn't a cheerleader, but I played volleyball, too bad no pictures though :( I only have a few pictures of me back then...most of them goofier than heck. I was always being caught eating or drinking something lol, rather embarrassing. Here is my senior pic though...turned out alright considering I was sicker than a dog that day. Got back to town and had to go to the ER with a 104.5* temp. I had severe tonsilitis. It was NOT fun!

Heather, can't you just lie and say it's the best picture you've ever taken? :p I'd be happy to look that great in a picture any day!

Nevin, I was the cheerleading captain yet I was always one of the kids getting picked on, never doing the picking. I was always in the "smart kid" classes so I was one of the nerdy kids who couldn't find a table to sit at at lunch. I've just gotten meaner with age! :main_evilgrin:

Thanks Rick and Mel :) It was one of the first ones shot...the others in the series are not nearly as "sick free" lol. I remember the guy saying "Ok honey...now smile for me...no, that looks like you're about to throw up, do we need to take a break?" :main_laugh:

Here's another picture, later on that day. I look much more tired.
