I have 2 leopard geckos that are being housed together right now. They are only about 4 1/2 inches long or so and to young to tell the sex. But was wondering if its ok to house them together all year or if they should be together only around breeding season?

Im a noob if you cant tell......lol....

Here are some things to consider:

--if they turn out to be both female, they can be housed together all the time unless one starts to bully the other

--if they turn out to be both male, it's likely that they'll fight and hurt each other although some people have had success with males raised together from a young age (it's a big risk, though) and they'll need to be separated

--if they are a male and a female of breeding age they could be kept together all year as long as the male doesn't harass the female too much, but they will breed and you have to be prepared for the results

**if they are male and female and young and you keep them together, there's a good chance they will breed at too young an age (think of human teenagers) which can cause health problems.

In other words, for most of the possible gender outcomes, you're going to have to separate them for at least awhile, so you may want to consider getting another tank or dividing your tank if it's big enough.
