Maggiee as you said before you are starting with gecko and is what happened already with all of us. When you start in to something new is always a good idea to ask but isn't good to beleive what only one person told you. It is always good to check the leopard gecko wiki since there you can find how all the morphs are defined. In my case if I am going to buy you a Sunglow and I see pattern on it I will tell you that it isn't a Sunglow and I think that almost all of the most experienced members would tell you the same. But I think that from you breeders you still having some chance to hatch couples of SHTCT Albinos (Sunglows).

Thank you! I know I will have some sunglows from the clutches. The dad has really nice color. I like him.

maggie I also have a sunglow with a pattern.Mine is a low quality sunglow, but none the less she has gorgeous colour.

My female is also a low quality sunglow. But just because she has pattern doesn't not make her a sunglow. Her parents are Urban Gecko sunglows and so I am pretty sure that classifies her as a sunglow. Thank you for responding to this thread. You backed me up on the sunglow identification crisis. Hahaha! Thanks again!

nice geckos no doubt. but i have to disagree on one point. just because your female was born from two tremper shtct/b does not IMO automatically make her also one. but its also not to say that you cant produce hypos and what not from your pairs.

some of urbans geckos that are tagged as 'sunglows' honestly look just like really nice trempers, tangs or hypos to me...
but then, some of theres no doubt are quality shtct/b <----what i consider to be a sunglow.

reason being, i have seen many normal trempers that look identical to some of their low grade 'sunglows'. i would never tag these normal albinos as sunglows because they are not anything beyond an albino... (meaning not hypo, super hypo, etc etc)

Dont go by the rule of, 'well if TUG say so, then it MUST be right'

Arent all albino's super hypo, since theyre amelanistic lol...So any tremper is tecnically super hypo really.. lol.
but im sure you still get my point with the first line.

I don't think the same. If there is other breeder selling you a Sunglow like her female you will said that is not a Sunglow because it not fulfill the definition of its morph but because it is from TUG you will think the opposite. This year I hatched a Hypo Mack Snow and I didn't called it a creamsickle eventhough mom was a SHTCTB and dad was a Mack Snow. It is the same with the TUG Snow, how these snow are different from the Mack Snow? In my personal opinion I think is the same gene as the Mack Snow since they produce SS when they are breed to a Mack Snow. I will think the opposite when there is scientific evidence that it's from a complete different gene than the mack.

well of course you wouldnt call that a creamsicle, creamsicles are made in the second gen.

It is the same with the TUG Snow, how these snow are different from the Mack Snow? im pretty sure it has been proven, but i know what you mean, i thought that but someone on here provided proof i think.

When you breed a Gem Snow to a Mack Snow it can make a Super Snow
When you breed a TUG Snow to a Mack Snow it can make a Super Snow
When you breed a TUG Snow to a TUG Snow it does NOT make a Super Snow
When you breed a Gem Snow to a Gem Snow it does NOT make a Super Snow

Thus making TUG Snows and Gem Snows, different from a Mack Snow

sorry to further derailment, but can a gem and a tug snow make a super? im thinking no, but just wondering, i didnt know TUGs nows with macks could make supers.

Basically you need to have a Mack Snow in the mix to make a Super Snow
Saying this sound likes the snow gene in the gem snow and tug snow is the same gene since you would not hatched an albino when you crossed 2 different strain of albino. Or another explanation would be that in the process of making the other snows they started with a gecko that was posessing the snow gene and some of the individuals might still carrying the MS gene.

i think the Thread starter needs to do alot more research on his morphs. If you leo wiki you will see the very distinct difference in a sunglow and a tangerine albino or a hybino. Sunglows and tangerine albinos technically have the same genetic make up , which is a tangerine and an albino, but sunglows are line bred, thus called sunglows, anybody can get a hybino by crossing a tangerine with an albino, but not a sunglow.

I agree, sorry Maggie, i also think your female is just a tangerine albino tbh. A sunglow is a SHTCT albino, and thus needs to be patternless like an SHTCT.
Just because it was labelled sunglow doesnt mean it is.
Anyone can label their gecko anything... but its what it looks like and what genes it contains that determines what it actually is, not the sticker on the box.
As i mentioned earlier in the thread, dont go by the rule of: 'If TUG say so then it must be right'
