How do I keep hatchlings?

I'm thinking of doing my first bit of small scale breeding this year and i was just wondering, once the eggs have hatched do the babies need to be seperated straight away? How bigger box does each need if i do? Also how old should they be before i give them to new owners?

Thankyou so much. x

6 quarts are perfect for hatchlings. If you have the space to seperate them from the begining that's good so they don't compete for food, but do to limited space I keep my clutch mates together. There has been a few cases were they compete for food and an occasional missing tail:( . Out of over a 100 hatchlings last year I've only had two dropped tails and about 4 or 5 that had to be seperated. As for giving them away I suggest wait a month or two to make sure there heathy, eating good, and growing good. If your giving babies away make sure you give them to some one who knows what there doing for babies require more care than adults. I haven't done any shipping yet so I can't help with proper size(weight) for shipping.hope this helps:)

My intention is to sell/give away babies at 15 grams minimum, but I have occasionally let a smaller one go to an experienced leo keeper. I don't ship, so all these babies are being hand delivered.

yeah i think people say that because they care about their leos and so they can sell them for MORE money because they are bigger and probably breeding size lol
