We know the exact percentages to expect, but that is not the same thing as knowing the exact percentages that will hatch from a clutch of eggs. It's like flipping a coin. The expectation is that 50% of the time the coin will come down heads, and 50% of the time it will come down tails. But we don't know which way the coin will come down the next time it is flipped. Unless, of course, it's a two-headed coin. :)

If you are willing to spend a few bucks, get a copy of Genetics for Herpers. I have a copy and think it is pretty good.

Or get a genetics text, the Schaum's Introduction to Genetics. There are even some genetics texts on the web for download, like Wilmer Miller's Survey of Genetics. Trying to learn genetics from a herper web site is guaranteed to mess you up.

Once you have the basics of genetics, you can use the leopard gecko wiki to learn the basics of the morphs.

Good luck.

so if lets say 50% will be this and 50% will be that then we have 2 eggs that will not necessarily be 1 of this and 1 of that?
