How do you price your hatchlings? I've looked at other breeder sites and there is such a big range in prices. Since I'm just starting out, I know I need to price them lower, but how low do I go? Certain morphs seem to be close, but others are so different, especially the enigmas. What do you base your prices on? I have a couple hatchlings that are ready to ship and a few that will be soon. Since my site isn't done yet, I was planning on posting in the classifieds here. I have an idea on what to price all of them except the bell enigma.

i believe the bell enigma should be approximately $3.50 plus shipping, sent directly to me of course.

any kind of enigma is big bucks usually. most of the male bell enigmas on kingsnake are priced between $400-600 so somewhere in there would probably be reasonable i would think

I don't know what you have except the Bell enigma which is way far out of my league, so it's hard to give specific suggestions. I have been checking prices on leos from the classifieds here, from shows and websites in an informal way. I have healthy, good quality geckos but the fanciest stuff I have is hybino and Mack snow. I generally price my geckos at $25-40 with the high yellows and tangs more like $25 and the stripes and snows closer to $40. When I look at websites and prices I try to judge how close to what I have are the others in terms of age and how they look and also how well known the breeder is. In the case of the enigma, especially, I would suggest looking at a variety of similar enigmas and trying to price yours somewhere in the range of the others, or not too much below the low end because I think it's a real issue right now how fast the prices are going to drop and it would probably be good for you not to be a major contributor to that.
