I have 3 leopard geckos now and picking up a crested tomorrow. I was at the reptile shop I go to for my feeders and they had some new babies and some adult males and I soooo wanted to buy this beautiful Mack Snow Male and they have baby Panther Chameleons that I have been eyeing sinch they hatched and they finally went on sale today (they are a month old) but I am moving soon so I promised myself I wouldnt buy anymore until I am moved into the new place. How do you restrain yourself? lol

I told myself I wasn't going to get overboard with leopard geckos. That was 4 tanks and 4 leopard geckos ago. My own excuse for getting more is that I always have plenty of feeders since they come in bulk anyway, so to not feed them to geckos it would be a waste.

The expense is always the start up cost, that I have to pace myself month by month basis.

jsut go with it!
one person can care for a LOT of geckos!!!!

i stay away from online gecko retailers and classified ads. that helps keep me from doing anything rash most of the time.

I have been asking myself the same. I also have a full set up just waiting for number 3. Food cost is a non issue because I have learned how to breed my own as well! I had no idea it was going to be such an addicting hobby!

For me it's simple... I have a stitch where I have to have my mix of genes I've line bred in all of my geckos... I was fortunate enough to have produced some exceptional geckos from one male [MS het Bell] x two females [Bell / Blizzard] my first season... Almost all of the geckos I've produced since have come from line breeding geckos from those first pairings... When there's a gene I want to mix in I have sent geckos to peeps with that gene and they sent back babies from the cross...

P.s. For a while I was determined I could make my own Enigmas! That never panned out... :main_laugh:

My gecko addiction didn't take long. I never thought I'd be one of those people. But I am. Going on my 3rd one soon. As I've said in previous posts, I'll have to quit after that to avoid divorce, as my hubby's not thrilled about geckos and their need to eat insects (especially roaches). :D I have to force myself not to see areas of the house that would be perfect spots for more tanks....

Hello, my name is Gregg, and I have gecko bins under my bed... :D I ordered too many superworms and don't want to waste them, however, not going into the classifieds section needs to happen asap.
