How do you set up your eggs?

Im looking for a new way to set up my leopard gecko eggs.
Last season i just got small tupperwares wrote on the top what the parents were then the date they were laid. I would just mark the top of the eggs with a line.

Id like some ideas and pictures if you can post them of how you personally set up the gecko eggs.

I would like to do a bunch of eggs in a big tupperware iunstead of little ones that takes up too much space..

I use the SIM's now but in the past I used gladware containers. I label each egg with the initial of the mother and the clutch number, so, for "Ginger"'s third clutch, for example, each would be labeled "G3". I put the eggs in the container in the order in which they're laid so the ones closest to the front of the incubator (and easier for me to see) are the ones nearest to hatching. There's always the danger that a bunch will hatch at the same time and you won't know who came from what egg, but this hasn't happened to me in a way that kept me from knowing which baby was which for the past 6 years.

I'm interested in hearing some feedback from those using the Gecko Egg Organizer; that looks like a good tool. My first eggs of the season, deposited this morning, went into a deli cup with vermiculite, the way I've done it for nearly 15 years, but I think I'll try some other approaches this year.

I just ordered the GEO and will be able to tell you later whether that worked for me! I think it's a neat idea. I have both the Hova-bator and the ThinkGeek mini fridge, and am trying to save space. So far, I had long, square tupperware containers with lots of eggs in them, and the hatchlings were able to turn over eggs or mix up.

Has anybody else ordered the GEO for testing?

I ordered some as well, so there should be some good feedback on here within a couple of months. I love the concept.

Mine are similar to what acpart use to do .. I put the oldest pair of eggs to the front and each following clutch behind it. I keep a little diary book and record what gecko laid which clutch on which day, helps you calculate when they should hatch but also keep track of the day they were laid so I know when my female will be laying her next set. I try to use one egg container for each female although last year I had some lay at the same time and ended up with a few questionable eggs until they hatched lol I use my own home build incubator and it works great! I had 100% hatch rate for bearded dragons and nearly 100% for geckos so I haven't tried a store bought until yet. I've seen some people convert mini fridges into incubators and am looking into possibly trying that next :D

(p.s in the pic some of my eggs are in a laying medium I used for my other herps, I would not recommend using it as it holds too much moisture and grows mold fast .. it was only a temp solution for a few days until I got more vermiculite)
