How long is too long?

Just got my first new gecko, a Jungle Bell Albino, on Saturday from GGG. He is 4 months old approximately and about 19 grams in weight.

I am letting him get acclimated to his new home so I don't bother him too much. I sneak into the room he is in at night and watch him under the blacklight. (it is an exo-terra Moonglo bulb). He has a UTH hooked to a thermostat set to 90 during the day which is turned down to 80 at night. Ambient temp gets to about 86 just from the UTH (I also keep the warm side of the tank covered with a towel).

Anyhow, I know it varies from Gecko to Gecko, but when should I be worried if he doesn't eat anything? He has a mealworm dish with supers in it (and a baby carrot for the supers to eat while in the dish). He has not eaten one yet and shows no interest. He's pooped 2 times so far though.

So I ask again, How Long is Too Long?:main_robin:

This is completely normal, and nothing to worry about. FYI,I would leave the UTH on at 90 degrees at all times without a night drop.

+1

Also, young ones generally dont take as long as adults to acclimate to new surroundings. Usually about a week. Covering the walls of the terrarium can help to give them a sense of security and prevent them from getting spooked when someone walks by.

Great advice, I was also wondering the same thing.
My new baby gecko doesn't seem to have eaten anything since I got her.
Glad to see its nothing to worry about.
