how long do you do you keep your male in with your female, or group of females for breeding purposes? also, when? ive seen people keep there male in with females year round without a problem, just curious to see what everybody else does...

last season mine bred in the first few minutes of being introduced to each other... I am not counting on that happening this year, and think I will leave them together for a week, tops. When I housed the pair together they never grew to their fullest potential and seemed to be too stressed to breed.

I keep my males with the females Jan.-Oct., or whenever I can make space for them to separate. This past season started and ended late so I have just separated my last of 3 breeding males from his females last night. He will stay by himself till about mid Jan.
