I feed most of my large adult Leo's full grown male dubia to keep the male dubia numbers in check. I found out very quickly though that I have to be careful with that though as I almost fed off all of my males one time without knowing it.

As a test, I discovered that most of my adult leo's can and will eat the largest Adult Female Dubias that we have, which are considerably larger and plumper then the males. They are also larger then the space between my Leo's eyes and they don't have any problems.

I just use common sense, if it looks too big it prolly is.

My 3 oldest will eat large dubia nymphs and males, i just feed Daisy the smaller ones as she is smaller and strugles to actually catch the bigger stuff hehe :)

In the wild a gecko wouldnt look at a bug and think "hmmm thats bigger than the gap between my eyes, better not".

Besides if something is too big mine will spit it back out, chew it up a bit, try again, if its still too big chew it up some more until it goes down.

I havent had any issues with them not being able to poop, theyre still eating them fine and theyre all healthy and as far as i can tell happy :D

They'll eat what they're capable of eating. If something is too large, they just regurgitate it anyway, and then you know what's too big.
