Aw heck at over a year she should be able to handle supers just fine. I usually pinch their head a little to stun them a bit 'cause they're like scorpions when you take them in a pair of tweezers, lashing about and I worry about my leo getting poked in the wrong place when he bites them Just get a few, maybe a half dozen to see if they like them. Shouldn't be more than a couple bucks.
