How much would I get for the offspring of these two?

Well, it depends on the place your selling them and the individual gecko. The hatchlings will be a have a varying degree on tangerine influence and be 100% het for blizzard. I'd say around $30 (more or less)

First off, you need to do your research on breeding if you're even going to jump into it. Second, sounds like you're wanting to breed just to make money off of them.

You have a leo that already needs vet care...that you aren't sure if you can afford. If you're going to breed YOU HAVE to have enough for vet care.

Sorry to put it blunt, but I just don't like people breeding when they haven't even researched or are providing for the ones they already have. (Not saying that's you...just an example)

Good luck, and be sure to keep us updated!!! ;)

youd end up with normals het blizzard and some hypos het blizzard both may have tangerine influnces...Id pay 20 TOPS for a gecko like that. Hypos are very easy to get and normals...well there even more common.

I havent read your other posts but this does sound like you only want money...Prettyinpink is 100% right. It costs a bit of money to breed and even more when one of yours gets wounded...You cant predict if the males gonna be good or bad. My friend just had that problem. His male was fine with one girl then the next he ripped up bad....

Uhm... I actually updated and said I'd have enough and that he has an appointment tomorrow, and I haven't even put them in the same cage yet, so I didn't plan on breeding them any time soon. Sorry if I sound rude, I just strongly dislike assumptions. And most people breed their leo's TO make money, that's how breeders get their income. Thanks, though, I have yet to find an extremely detailed breeding/care for young leopard gecko sheet.

Actually most breeders breed to better the breed or for the passion they have for herps not to make money because seldom does any breeding venture result in positive cash flow. One of the members usually posts her earnings/expense report from her yearly breeeding projects and I don't think she's ever broken even yet from the posts I've seen on her projects. Also I thought you had put them in the same cage, isn't that how your female got tore up or did I read something wrong there?

VERY well said. The only people making any kinda income are the mass producers who can have 100s a babies. The leo market is down, most from what ive heard/seen have had babies left over. So them are costing them even more. Id never buy from someone just looking to make money:/ Thats why i wont get into ball pythons:p to many people are into money for them. If you think for a second your gonna make any kinda money you better get some high end geckos that arent gonna produce normals and hypos. I know i aint breeding for money and the moment i start thinking that i will get outta breeding, end of story. No animal should be a income of anyone. there not our money makers:/ thats how i feel anyways

i dont do it for the money.First and foremost u need to be doing it for the love of leos.Along with breeding comes the passion we all share when we pick one of these creatures up.I will never make $$.Watching a baby hatch is all i strive for

Hahaha Roger... that's not true... we've agreed on a couple other things on some other posts before but thank you. We just never agree on temps, and humidity from what I can recall :)

SIGH, alright, what I said came out wrong, I didn't mean it that way. I love leopard geckos and want to open a shop so I can be around reptiles all day long while working. I am trying to breed the leopard geckos as a start to this loonggg term occupation to be better at it / more informed, and because I adore them and their cute little smiles, etc... but obviously income is a good thing too. As much as I'd love to be able to keep the newborns forever, years and years and years and years, I couldn't, which is why I asked how much they'd go for as future reference.

What? My female isn't torn up or housed with my male. She was the first day I got her but they didn't even make contact after she shoved him away, a day later she was put into her own cage, lmao. I think you're mistaking me for the girl that titled her thread, "My poor baby."

Well a bit of advice then when pricing. Your a new comer(who has alot of research ahead of them! Study genetics~) have no repuation and will be starting out small and with basic morphs. You wont be able to charge alot. Now if you kept some of them babies and bred them back to the dad(hes the blizzard right?) then you could get blizzards...0.o can they be tangerine influanced? LOL sorry im new too and Blizzards arent one i much care for. PERSONALLY. I'd look around for a female mack snow het blizzard this way you have more out comes and easier to market. Everyone has there own tastes.:main_laugh: more variety the more likely to sell(how im finding it) your girls very big and obviously healthy with her id get a different male just coz marketing normals is hard enough...Thats me. Thats how i see it. As for prices 10-30. Sorry if i came off a bit snotty>.> it just errrkkkssss me to the extreme when people talk about breeding for money. There are just to many people like that:/

You're lucky you don't work in the dog world like me... you'd have likely gone all Bell tower on some one by now.

To be perfectly blunt about it you will be lucky if you can give them away. I have offered up my last 35 or so babies from the season (Eclipses and het RAPTORs, mostly sired by a high dollar Abyssinian male from Ron Tremper) at $5 each just to get them out and have not been able to sell more than a handful. Leopard geckos are a money pit now, if you breed them do it for love and be prepared to feed the babies for a long time.

Blah, I rescue leos and I just had a hella of a time finding a puppy. LUCKILY i found a rescue. It was a bit more but little Ghostie was worth it<3 Delt with MANY people wanting money:/ Pups with no shots, and worse yet Double merles>.> (i wanted a Aussie) Work? Id probably off myself, haha, Im 19 and delt with enough of that:D I'll just go to rescues from now on. BTW nice Dp:D is that a flemish Giant he's holding?

Tony's 100% right. Be prepared to keep some even if ya dont want them. LOL tho seeing them hatching and growing...you do get attached:p I know im already keeping my first 3 babiesXDD Just TO cute. A good way to market them I read is to sell set-ups and babies. Most people will keep yours as pets since you can buy a Blizzard or normal for pretty cheap. Look for ways~ be creative

I actually had intended to start selling them just around the neighborhood / to friends, like advertising in classified adds. I think I will wait before even attempting to sell them on the internet, LOL. I can picture it now... that would not go well! Could you tell me what... "Het" means? Also, it's okay! I act the same way to BYB and such, I don't like them excessively breeding dogs just for the cash and having a disregard for the animals. I will read a good informational guide on breeding leopard geckos, now! Could you tell me how long you wait before selling the offspring? I read some stuff but none told me that.

I envy you, I'd never be able to breed/do anything like that with dogs because of the people, there are so many people I want to attack. :main_laugh: There are dog forums and such, people there are so quick to assume and attack you because they think they know it ALL.

I am prepared, crickets/mealworms/superworms are cheap here, and I have PLENTY of old tanks from my leopard gecko and blue tongue skink. Thanks for your advice!
