How offen do Females ovulation

I was wondering how long do females ovulation for in one month. Are they like humans females. That only ovulate a couple times a month. The reason I'm asking is my female layyed last night how until she is ovulating again. Like a week or 2 weeks. Just some crazy question i had because my females are a little on the fatty side and i cant always tell so maby i could figure out there cycles.. Thankx Again (JoHn) :main_thumbsup: :main_robin:

THey will generally ovulate once in a year with on some occasions twice a year. I think you are confusing ovulate with laying. SHe will lay anywhere from 3-6 weeks after each clutch with a average of 7 clutches(DEPENDING on age/supplementation)

Actually, females will ovulate continually throughout breeding season.

with or without having to breed again. I "rebreed" them around the half way point, but you prob dont need to. It just sounded like the question was more about laying then breeding.

Cool Guys thanks. No i just wasnt sure like if i could make my chances go up with good eggs. So im guessin they ouvlate in the spring and summer months and slow down in the fall and winter months or not at all thanks for your great info i just wasnt sure about that one. So its ok to put my males in with my females. Because i thought that there was only like 2 times out of the week. But if your putting it like that then i dont have to wait a week after she lays like maby about 3-5 days then put her with a male i got. Does this sound right?

And like snared said, they can cycle 2 times in one year...
