How Often and what to feed.

I have a adult leopard gecko, i'm curious to know how often i should feed him? Some say everyday some say every other day. What are the benefits of each? also i've been feeding him mealworms with the occasional wax worm as a treat. i find them easier to handle and to feed. I have both crickets and mealworms. What would you say is better?

a variety is best every other day is fine for an adult.
wax worms are not needed.

I keep a steady supply of FRESH worms in their bowls all the time. If the worms are not eaten in a couple days I will replace them and put the worms back into the colony.

I also, keep a steady supply of mealworms in their bowls 24/7. Everyone has their own routine. Right now I give them 2-3 crickets and one super worm in dish daily. In the AM i just take out any uneaten crickets and super worm. Roaches once a week. I try to give them variety.

If my geckos eat a very large meal, i'll "fast" them and give them a break for two days - or until they have a large bm. You dont want to overfeed either.

I have a well established dubia colony going. Sooooo what i do is i get a bunch of nymphs and put them in a separate container. Then i get my gecko and place him inside. I leave him there for 10-15 mins and take him out after. Thats how i feed mine.

Whatever he can eat in 10-15 min period is his breakfast/lunch/dinner.

And ofc. i feed him meat occasionally.
