How to best feed picky female

I've had my female crested gecko for well over a year now, and she ALWAYS has to be hand fed (doesn't pay attention to her food if not), and she doesn't always eat all the food-not the amount she needs. She likes fruits like bananas and mangoes way too much (don't worry, I don't feed her too much fruit), and barely likes her crestie diet. How can I teach her how to eat without being hand fed and how to get her to like her healthy food more?

Are you absolutely sure that she won't eat if you don't hand feed her? I ask because I have had a number of crested geckos and gargoyle geckos that I have never seen eat. They get crested gecko fruit diet twice a week and crickets once a week, but there are almost always crickets in the cage. One of these geckos (I have seen him eat crickets on occasion) is 19 years old. If you have the ability to monitor the cage for poops, you may want to consider not feeding her at all for a few weeks (I have found that geckos can easily go this long without eating) and see if she's pooping. Or else, keep hand feeding her.

OK, I'll try that! I like hand feeding her, but not every time. Life gets busy and I cant always wait 30 minutes for her to slowly eat her food lol. Thanks!
