Huge blue/black spot on belly, obvious red vein?

Flipped over the new little rescue to see if I could sex him/her yet. This is what I saw:

Why is that like that? S/he's eating and pooping normally. Just shed yesterday. On paper towels now but was on sand for most of its life. And it's a juvy about 5-6 months old, but only weighs 9.0g (was 8.6 two days ago when we got it) and is 3.5 inches long.

Let me know what you guys think, though. This guy is pretty active and his/her poop is normal so I don't think he/she's sick but the color of its belly really concerns me.

We had that happen with one of our little ones. We gave her a warm soak, which led to an extra big poop. After that the dark spot lightened up a bit. I don't think it would hurt even though you said it's been pooping normally.

hmmm....I don't know... it seems like there have been a few on here with dark tummy's like that..

Update. He eats like a little piggy Still has the dark spot taking up most of his belly though. As long as he's eating/pooping I think I won't worry about him for now but I may try that warm soak. Thanks
