Whats up with humidity? Whats it for? Any one gots some answers? also how do i build a moist hide for shedding geckos, what needs to be there bedding for it , how often do i need to spray it?:main_huh:

If it is too dry, geckos can't shed correctly. If you do a search on this forum, you will find lots of info on humid hides.

Basically, you can use a tupperware with a hole in it, and paper towels, or moss that you keep damp. The humid hide should go on the warm side.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but the temperature of the cage has nothing to do with the shed. If the gecko is properly hydrated the process occurs naturally. He rips it off himself and eats it. To build a moist hide, get a tupperware container, cut a hole in the top or in the side whatever you prefer, and line it with moist sphagnum moss (Home Depot). Mist the moss daily for your gecko. This hide is what ensures proper humidity and shedding. And at the end of the shedding process always make sure it is compleatly off (eye caps, toes, belly, etc.)
