I am confused as to what the genetics are of a Super Hypo Carrottail? Like what morphs are used to get them. Also what would the outcome be if one was bred to a Sunglow?
Thank you

A Super Hypo Carrot Tail is a combination of Super Hypo and Carrot Tail. Both of these genetics are polygenetic. There is mild debate over what actually classifieds a gecko as being Super Hypo apposed to being just Hypo as well as how much CT needs to be present to be called a CT. Also most SHCT will be accompanied by Tangerine as well because since they are all polygenetic they tend to all go hand in hand when trying to produce the most solid colored gecko.

Thank you. I'm sorry if these sound like dumb questions I just really find genetics interesting and really want to learn more about reptile genetics but I am having a hard time grasping it. So a SHCT or even a HCT is basically a line bred trait because it is just the work of generation after generation of picking the ones with the least amount of markings on back and breeding them to get even less?? So my real question is, what would the outcome be breeding a SHCT to a tremper sunglow which doesn't have any spots on the body at all?

If you breed a SHCT to a sunglow, you will produce offspring that will have a range of spotting (even though neither of the parents does) but I would imagine that most of them would be hypo or superhypo. They would all be het for albino and if you bred the offspring to each other or back to the sunglow parent you would get some sunglows.
