she was cool nancy. a gulf coast toad. we have lots of them that live in our back yard.

the green anole (second photo) we rescued from the cats mouth, literally. no real damage done but it could have been bad

thanks nancy!

Robin..........I've had an XTI, a cool lens, and some other goodies in my cart on Amazon for some time now. I've been back and forthy on the camera for months, and now you're posting all of these sweet photos again ugh. I'm going to cave soon, it's inevitable.

I really like the feel of the Anole photo. Great photos as always, and welcome back.

ryan even the XT which has a bit less MP and doesn't have the auto mirror cleaner (it's quite a bit cheaper too). is just as good as the XTI. i am using the kit lens (18-55) and it works fantastic :) if i actually ever read the handbook i might know how to photograph better lol
i wouldn't get any special lenses until you know the camera a bit better and know what you want from it.

I researched for a few weeks and everyone said to throw the kit lens in the trash. You make a good point though, I am a noob, and your photos are faaar from trashy. Maybe I should just stop thinking so hard and give the kit lens a shot. The difference in price is only $50 vs the $400 lens I was looking at. Although, I'm still sold on the XTI over the XT.

Anyways, I'm going to shut up. We can talk photos later. Welcome back!

Welcome back, Robin! As always, stunning pictures - I had your deviant art gallery bookmarked, but the jerks here at work swapped out computers and deleted all my favorites - GRRRRRR.
