I found my favorite knobtail female dead a few minutes ago, and I feel like I'm going to flip out and throw up, I've been crying so hard. She was very thin, and wouldn't eat. She laid too many eggs for a knobtail this season... I am in shock with grief.
One of my male C. elegans is very sick, and I may lose him while I'm gone. He had a horrible infection in his hemipenes, and my vet is gone. I got all the puss out... what a mess. I have him coated with antibiotic ointment, and started him on Baytril. I put him on paper towel, and he's just sitting in his water bowl and won't open his eyes.
Jacy was supposed to come today at 11:00 and help me with all the geckos... getting the tubs cleaned and the geckos fed. She didn't show up, and I can't reach her by any of the phone numbers I have. I'm concerned!
It's 5:00 PM, and I just got all the babies cleaned and fed, and haven't even started on the adults or non-leos yet! I have to get up at 4:00 AM to make my flight to Dallas in the morning, and I'm not even packed!
I was cleaning the last baby out of 117 tubs/babies, and it took a flying leap and got behind a cabinet. All I found was it's still-wiggling severed tail. It's only 5 days old.
I have a dozen boxes of feeders to put up, too.
If I didn't need to get the fuck out of here so bad, I would cancel my trip. I am going absolutely crazy right now, and I can't even think straight.
