So i just got my first leo and I was wondering what morph it is.

I think it's a juvenile patternless. The beige markings will disappear with age.

Yeah that's the plan ink They didn't have much in their tank at the "pet store", just a water bowl, a small tree thing, and a small hide that was pretty much pointless since they had it facing front so they couldn't actually hide. That and the temps in the tank were way off, the sand they had them on was almost ice cold.

So now I've got the temps up in the low-mid 90's, threw in a humid hide and a hide on the warm side and another on the cool end in a 15 gal. tank. Right now s/he is settling in to the new setup and I'll try and feed it some mealies tonight.

Hopefully she'll put on weight in no time at all. If all goes as planned s/he will be a fatty in no time

anyone have any idea as to around how old? I'm thinking s/he is rather young, maybe weeks old?

Not without some sort of size reference, like maybe a ruler, in the picture next to this gecko. Without the size reference, I'd say probably a couple months tops?

well s/he is about 3 1/2" no more than 4" long including tail

What makes it really tough to judge, is that this gecko obviously wasn't getting the meals it should have been. For that reason, it also probably doesn't have the size that's appropriate for its age, whatever that is. But I feel pretty comfortable with my previous guess. Honestly though, there's no way to know for sure.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I have a bowl of mealies in the cage but so far no luck with him/her eating them. I'm not sure if they ever gave them mealies at the pet store. If s/he doesn't eat any tonight I'm going to pick up a couple crickets tomorrow to see if it will eat those.

But I know that it's still getting used to it's new home so I'll just pick some up just in case. Like I said I don't think they fed them mealies at ***** so s/he probably only eats crickets.

Well I picked up some crickets and waxworms on my way home tonight so we'll see how things go.
