i didnt know gecko's sleep...

i went to the reptile store earlier today, and i saw a couple of nice leo's. two of them were active. moving around and exploring their enclosure. but the others looked as if... they were sick or dead, but breathing. are they sleeping? sorry for the stupid question. but im new
