While I was still pondering whether my male has successfully mated with my female, I found 2 eggs this morning!! They seemed nice and firm, I can see bulleyes too! They're now cooking in my homemade incubator at 89F; if everything goes well, I hope the babies will hatch on my birthday, which is 32 days from now! If not, Christmas babies will be nice too!

Here is my Zhului mama last night:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU! I can't wait to see them when they hatch. It must be hard having to wait day after day wondering when they will pop their little heads out! Good luck with your little eggs! They look very healthy!!

Thanks! I was soooo excited when I saw the eggs; I wasn't even 100% that my girl was gravid, lol. My hands were shaking bad when I took out the eggs...and yea, they rolled around. Luckily, those eggs were just laid hours before, so I guess the rolling won't affect them. I have both of them bulleyes up now.

The rolling wont affect them.Once they go in the incubator thats when they shouldnt be moved.Put a mark on top of the egg so if they do roll on u they can be put in the original position

Congratulations!!!

The eggs look very good. No, the rolling over only affects them about 24 hours after they've been laid, which is when the embryo attaches to the wall. Good luck with them! In 2-3 weeks, you'll get the next two eggs. Why are you breeding for male? If you incubate for female, you can house them together later... :main_yes:

We'll look for hatchling pictures in 32 days or thereabouts :D

Haha, I like males! The majority of my geckos are males, lol. I just gave 2 dubias to my girl and she ate them right away. Yeah! This is so exciting! I really should post a pic of mom and dad.

This is Zhului mommy, she is a LBS x mack 1.5 years old:

The eggs seem fine so far. I'm currently re-reading the whole "egg incubation" section, all those posts about eggs appearing perfect throughout the incubation period but turned out to be just green goo at the end, and babies not making it...etc makes me really nervous. Now I'm starting to question myself whether I did see bullseyes on the first day...

As of last night (17 days since she laid), my girl's belly is still pretty flat. I think I see an ovulation spot or new egg forming in her mid-section. She has only eaten for 3-4 days after she laid her first clutch; lost a total of 10g without the eggs. She is now at 75g.
