plain n simple i hate *PS. the ones that work at the clearwater hub are stupid as heck. this was my first time shipping 2 geckos to someone and at first they didn't want to let me ship because i did not have an authorized account with them and then they charged me 80 dollars to ship the geckos and they charged me for 9 lbs not 2lbs like they were supposed to. first they wanted to charge us 110 dollars so yeah i am not happy with them one bit. they will be lucky if i ever ever do business with them again. sorry for the rant guys

Let's be really careful not to violate the TOS here by questioning the business practices of any certain business. As far as I know, all shipping companies now go by dimensional weight rather than actual weight (or whichever is greater). Shipping charges have gone up exponentially in the last year due to the rising cost of gas. It's unfortunate but it's a reality now.

I agree with Mel, that they definitely have raised prices at individual stores and whatnot. Danielle, I prefer to order shipments and print labels from the website, it's cheaper, and you don't have to put in dimensions of the box, just the weight of the box. The account is free and simple to use. You may want to think about signing up for one. You don't have to have regular shipments either. You can opt to drop off the pre-paid package and that's it.

We have an account with FedEx and I print my labels at home then drop off the prepaid packages at the airport hub. It's SO much easier!

thanks...i started signing up for an account but they wanted my bank information but i dont want to pay with my bank account i want to pay cash so i stopped it there. next time i will use a smaller box i just had a hard time finding a box that was not too small or too big yesterday. heck i couldn't even find heat packs even though here in fl it was feelling like 200 degrees outside i knew they were going to go through the louisville hub which was going to be cold i think it said 50 or less so i wanted to put something to make sure it would be okay. once i have more shipments i will know how to do it better and be equipped better.
