i just dont understand why people have to steal

i was going to put this under rants and raves, but it was a leo so ill put it here. anyway, i was at the Harve De Grace MD reptile expo this weekend vending as normal. i had all the dragons on the table, and 2 rows of leopard geckos. up front was the adult male i had in this add here...

i walked away from the table for no more then 5 minuts to see what one perticular vender had. i came back, and imidiatly i knew he was gone. they had to have grabbed him and just walked out. i dont ever really wish bad on people, but i really hope something happens to that guy soon enough so he doesnt get to enjoy that great gecko. i think im.....like the 3rd person on this page to have something lifted off their table this year. this is why i hate people as a whole

That's enough to make you lose faith in humanity when that happens! My blood boils when I hear about people having geckos stolen. I just can't understand why anyone would steal an animal when you can surely find one in your price range at most shows that will make a nice pet.

I just cannot understand how you could rationalize stealing. Unfortunatly theives do not stop to consider that to alot of people these animals are not just a way to make a dollar. There are alot of us that actually care a great deal about these animals and want to know where they are going. I am having a hard time deciding if I want to breed at all because of the issue of not knowing for sure if your little ones will be cared for. I am so sorry for your loss. I know it probably won't happen but I do hope that they catch who did this to you. I also hope that in the end your little one ends up with someone who does actually care for it. As someone else said....what goes around comes around and this person will eventually get their just reward!!!!!

again, thanks guys. my biggest concern is that i dont even know who hes with. for a short time i was going to school for criminal justice. i finally realized how much i just dont like the human race. im ok with individuals, and im very outgoing, but i still just dont like people. Sorry to hear about that Nevin. I was at the show looking for a box turtle, I didn't realize you were there or else I would have stopped by. With how small that place is 2-3 cameras would be able to cover the whole place. I don't think they use any kind of security. What needs to happen is to set something up, walk away and have someone from accross the room whatching and nab them as they try to leave. Do you have anyone else there to help you sell?

yeah i compleatly hear that brian. i think every dam expo should have camaras. and yeah i had someone there helping me. i also had half the venders watching for the gecko. im prety good friends with more then half those venders, manely cause we all do the same shows. i dont know if you can picture it...but when you went in the door, ted was to the right, larry with all the books was to the left. we were right across from ted, we had a whole tabel of dragons.
