I woke up this morning, and like I do every day... I go to the kitchen, make some coffee, check my e-mails and voice messages, and then find my way into the gecko room.
Today was unlike any before... when I walked in I saw my beautiful little girl, Twinks, lying limp on the floor of her enclosure, around where she normally uses the bathroom. I was so worried, not knowing what was going on, so I walked over to get a closer look, and I found that she was bleeding through her rectum... It looked like she had some sort of massive internal hemorrhage.
I cannot even begin to figure out why this happened, she was only 2 years old, weighed in at over 65 grams, and was so friendly and docile. I actually named her 'Twinks' because of how much she loved waxworms... she'd go crazy for them!
All of this said, today is a very sad day for me... I guess all I can say is that she is in a better place now and is no longer suffering.
