I need meal worms for a good price

Hiya,

Every online meal worm place I've found has reasonably-priced meal worms in bulk which seemed great at first, but then they add on some insanely overpriced shipping cost of like $15.00 extra. Pet stores around here also sell meal worms for about 3.00 per 50. That again, to my knowledge is overpriced. I've been told meal worms were a money saver...

Lauren and I divy up our leos during the summer so I have one and she's got two. Mine is a very picky eater (probably because she has horrible vision) and will only eat worms. So I only need like 100 a week, if that.

Can I get recommendations of places that won't screw me over with shipping? Bear in mind, I do not need next-day shipping. I will take the absolute cheapest shipping I can get. Or perhaps someone on here has a colony that is willing to ship out a few hundred a month? I live in NJ, 08876 zip code.

Does anybody else run into this problem? Anyway, I apologize for the rant, and I thank you for your time.

If you don't hear from anyone I'll ship you a few hundred (probably around 300-400, as you said they eat about 100 a week) a month for 6$ (plus shipping). I'd have to check shipping, though, and the earliest I could get the first shipment out to you would be early June, as I'm still in school atm.

Prices start at 18.99 for a 1,000 small mealworms which includes shipping! I did it awhile ago and it worked fine and they shipped pretty fast.

I also understand about the shipping rates. I went to order some silkworms for like 7.99 and some food for $10 but the cheapest shipping was like $15!

I like armstrongcrickets.com. It's $24 for 3,000 crickets. I can't remember the exact shipping price, but I think it's somewhere around $10. $35 for 3,000 mealies is a pretty good deal IMO!

Thank you for the responses so far, however, I only need about 100 meal worms a week since I only have 1 gecko. I don't need thousands. Are there any other places/people that might be able to offer this?

Crazy Carl's cricket farm, located in NH has a good price per hundred. I read their shipping info and it says that shipping starts at $11.50. They used to supply crickets and I don't know that they've changed their info. Obviously, if they're charging that much for $3.50 worth of mealworms it won't work for you, but you could contact them (www.cccricketfarm.com) and ask about shipping. They are very good at responding to queries.

Well, I mean my offer still stands. Shipping should only be around $5 if you don't need it overnighted. I can send it through USPS. I've got hundreds of thousands of worms and only 5 geckos with a few eggs incubating. Mine can never eat this much so if I don't get rid of some of them they'll just go to waste.
