I seriously wonder sometimes.. and.. some good news.

I got a call from a guy from New York on Sunday. He seemed very nice.. He had A LOT of questions. Which I always think is a great sign.. Then he called me back later in the day.. after he though about it.. and we decided to ship out two Tremper Albinos 100% Het Raptor to him on Tuesday for Wednesday delivery. They shipped out on Tuesday. Got there on time according to Fedex. He never emailed or called me.. But hey. I understand. You can get busy.. I emailed him while I was at work asking if they showed up alright and how he liked them. Well, I JUST heard back from him. This is the email he sent me.

yes thank you. I put them in the cage earlier today. My male tried mating but they both bit back and one of them got into a small fight with my existing female but they are both fine. i will keep you informed

I talked with him about quarantine.. I talked with him about the fact that they were no where near ready to be bred.. He seemed like a nice guy.. that cared.

I was REALLY wrong.. And it sucks.

On the up side of the day. We had two great people receive geckos from us today. They were happy with them.. Which makes us happy. Even though there was a shipping delay with one of them.. Everything worked out fine. AND... Tamara and I just got the keys for our new place... Which is pretty awesome. We will be moving in this weekend. We are excited about it. I will try and take before and after pictures of the studio. Haha.. So little room.. So much crap. And.. we are on the 3rd floor. I am not really looking foward to moving all of this stuff... again.. We just moved 6 months ago. :main_rolleyes:

Okay, wow that does suck, that people decide to buy geckos, when they have no idea, how to care for them. As long as you answered the questions, that he had, and responded to his e-mail, telling him what needed to be done differently, I think you did your job.

What gives with people not calling or emailing to say their geckos arrived safely? It's been happening to us a lot lately. I guess some people will agree with your advice and then still just do whatever they want. It's frustrating. Hopefully, they didn't mate and he'll realize that you are right and separate them. Have fun moving! 3 flights of stairs.....yuck.

I make it a point whenever I have geckos, mealworms, reptile supplies, ect........ sent to me to call or email the person to let them know it arrived.

John + Kristi, thanks for letting me know your animals are doing well. It means a lot to us. It also means a lot knowing.. that they are going to good homes.

And.. I did respond to what he said. I stated what he should do.. what he did wrong.. and why. He hasn't responded to me yet. I really just don't want them to die.

And.. yeah.. this weekend is going to be crazy. My hopes are to get every single thing out of our old place... and into our new place.. without breaking my back. I think that is key. Next time I want to hire someone to do this. Oh.. another fun thing is we are getting an order of custom glass tanks delivered to us by a friend on Sunday. Hahaha. SO MUCH STUFF TO DO!
