A Super RAPTOR and a Super Snow Tremper are IDENTICAL! The only way to know is to bred the baby to a RAPTOR and see the outcomes. I have seen a SUper RAPTOR in person and you would never know it.

Even if you bred mack RAPTOR to mack RAPTOR the Super RAPTOR still is Identical to a SSTRemper. Test breeding is the only way to prove you have a Super RAPTOR.

:main_yes::main_yes::main_yes::main_yes::main_yes::main_yes::main_yes:

You have what appears to be a SS tremper het raptor until proven out het or homozygous eclipse.

Nothing definative yet.

Test breed it to a RAPTOR and all hatchlings will be mack raptors if you have a SS raptor.

also just like all mack snows, eventually will start to look normal.
not ours ;)

I didn't realize that a SSTA and Super RAPTOR looked the same.. I figured a Super RAPTOR wouldn't have pinstripes?

Congrats on the hatchlings, they're both gorgeous nonetheless :sweetheart:

I'm beginning to wonder if a SUPER RAPTOR even exists yet, at least the way it was intended to be and described by Tremper a few years ago. I'm talking about a solid white baby with solid red-eyes that STAYS that way as an adult. A gecko that looks like a pure white Diablo Blanco, but with snow genes.

I too have been working on the SUPER RAPTOR project for a few years (see previous posts) and have produced babies that are born white with solid red eyes that eventually have a super snow pattern appear on them, but still have the solid red eyes.

Let's say with those geckos I just described you get positive test results for the eclipse eyes, but are still getting that faint super snow pattern on your offspring. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to call those Super Snow RAPTORs, but not a SUPER RAPTOR, as it was supposed to be? I'd say save the SUPER RAPTOR name for that elusive solid white adult that may or may not ever exist.

Not trying to start anything hostile here, just trying to hear some thoughts on this.

I hatched a Super Snow Tremper Albino male that was all white with red eyes when he was born. Today he has the SS pattern but the pattern is a yellow/pastel orange. Here's the weird thing..... when you shine a blacklight on him his SS pattern glows bright yellow/orange! I have tried this with other SSTA and the pink/yellow SS pattern doesn't glow with the black light. Both his parents are Mack Snows het Raptor from Steve Sykes. I sent a blacklight flashlight to Steve after my experiment and asked him to check his SSTA. He said the SS pattern on his did not glow. I have not proved out this male I have but I will soon and I have a sneaking suspicion he is a Super Snow Raptor. I do think it's possible the SS Raptor is different than the Super Raptor Ron Tremper described because you can have patty Raptors and Banded Raptors right? Maybe the SS Raptor didn't inherit the Patty gene huh? This is all just a theory but I think the blacklight thing is really weird...

Here is the SSTA I was mentioning:
