and things aren't going so well. I tried to be creative with what i had on hand. My son had an old bed frame in the basement made out of wood (you know the ones with drawers?) Well i decided i could use that for the rack. The material i'm not sure of but seems like pressed sawdust or something. Very heavy. Well needless to say everytime i screwed in a screw or tried to cit the stuff in a certain way it would crumble on the edges n such so that is wasn't what i feel to be asafe rack for my leos. So I guess that I have to go buy the materials and stop being a cheapskate lol. I have 2 more leo adults coming next weekend and need the room. The rack would have been perfect. Guess I can invest in a tank seperater til i ge tthe rack done but what a disappointment. And it would have looked nice too. AH well, learn as i go I guess

Can you use glue, or alse angle irons so you're not screwing into the thin part on the side? Can you use brads to nail a 1/4" strip of wood onto the particle board and then screw into the wood? Just some brainstorming suggestions.

Hey bud I made a rack out of these shelf frames they have at home depot for $7 and then just bought 5, 15 X48 pieces of melemine, then attach then with angle brackets and used the sheets of peg board for the back and sides, it cost me less than $50 then another $20 for the heat tape, granted you already have a thermostat you definatley do not want to skimp money on that, the thermostat is very important, but the rack itself was cheap to build, At the measurements I used my rack holds 48 12 to 15 quart tubs it also holds heat really well and it actually heats my whole room to so my ambients are 78 to 80 degrees my house is cold but my gecko room is perfect then below the heat tape the temps stay between 88 and 90 degrees, Just a thought you can have a nice rack for less than $50. I'd suggest spending at least $100 on a thermostat, I love the Johnson double Ranco's mine were $75 each plus shipping but they rock they have a back up, they may be a little more I get a discount where I got mine for the buisness I give them but you can find one. Just some thoughts that may help you. good luck

17.75 deep X 25.375 wide X dont know height/ I traded this rack to a friend awhile back those are estimates on those measurments. I make all my 12 qt tub depths 17 inches works great :) I still have the bigger racks and i have one other smaller rack on another wall if interested i can give you exact deminsions on it.
