The body color screams albino to me, I suspect the eyes aren't as dark as they look in the photo. Even if they are dark, deep ruby almost black eyes aren't that rare.

That's what I was feeling was the confusing factor as well. The OP stated he eyes were solid black, which could be confusing.

I don't see why everyone thinks this is a Nova? Tremper Enigma for sure, but why have we assumed it to have the Eclipse trait? The picture is not large enough to see the eyes well enough, and I have hatched several Enigmas with solid eyes and no Eclipse gene. They all faded after a few sheds.

Please correct me if I am in the wrong....

but someone isn't being very truthful to someone.

I APOLOGIZE TO THE OP BUT DIDNT KNOW WHERE TO POST SOMETHING LIKE THIS.. I was a tiny bit upset in a recent leopard gecko dealing because I didn't get what I was supposed to. I received a male instead of a female like discussed. I was met with another replacement female (much smaller than the one being replaced and with far less color) and she has had shed problems so bad she was missing 3 full toes and 2 halfs (a couple still had redness and scabs)...no big deal...the following quotes have, in my mind, made the deal worse. On the plus side, I do have 3 very pretty leos, missing toes or not :)

since none of his previous offspring when paired up with non het females produced any eclipse traits, could it be possible that the female is the het raptor? this is so tricky when you haven't paired them yourself. im going strictly by his records of course. i don't want to breed him to a bell if he's het tremper.

Just wanted to clear a few things up here. I have 3 of the offspring from the pair mentioned that I recently received. I was told, when I asked, that you couldn't get ahold of moonrockreptiles for records and was not sure WHO the parents were. I was also told you thought the sire was a Bell Enigma until I mentioned them being sold as Sunglow Novas and how that wouldn't make sense. I was also told several animals were mislabled. I told you about the moonrockreptiles you-tube videos explaining the pair (ENIGMA het RAPTORX SUNGLOW unknown hets)in question being bred for the FIRST time together and producing these offspring that I have since I did some research about the geckos I would be getting. I wanted to know their genetics. So, I don't understand how he bred his PREVIOUS offspring to prove anything out since the geckos I have are the first babies and not big enough to breed yet. Check out moonrockreptiles on youtube! I saw several videos of the same pair when he first got them up until 3 months ago when he hatched out these offspring that I now own. I posted under morphs before I knew what I had with the first 2. I haven't posted the new girl yet, and yes, I paid well more than I wanted to for the male but I couldm't give him up...so I still have him rather than swapping him out.

I don't see how this is true or honest. On the youtube video moonrockreptiles clearly shows the Enigma het RAPTOR and the Sunglow female no hets (unknown hets) on the video stating that he bred them together and was VERY excited about the outcome as it was completely unexpected (Sunglow turned out to be het eclipse). He says on the video that the Enigma is het RAPTOR. Also at frames 3:34-3:43 he shows the NOVA mentioned above and explains how he is completely unrelated to the offspring.

or search drumjams27's videos for title I provided!

I made it very clear as well, when doing the deal that I am a FREQUENT visitor of GF and I was told about starting a business of leos and it was dicussed to meet and make things right, replacing the male for the female I was supposed to have ( even if I felt the deal still was not an honest and fair one in the end, it started as one).

If I am out of line, I apologize. I don't think this shows very good business ethnics though. I have only been into leos for only a couple of years but have been in the reptile business for several years!

To the MODS, If there is a way to move this to it's own thread, please do! I didn't know where to post it (I've never had this problem). To the OP...again I am sorry for changing the subject on your thread.

If I could figure out the purpose of this post I would move it, but it is quite incoherent. :main_huh:

I think this would be a better post for the board of inquiry over at fauna classifieds. That post really takes this discussion off the rails.

I would say it's a Tremper Enigma. The eyes are not solid black (or snaked eyed) so no Eclipse in their.
